I'm so good at this "being productive" thing

Yesterday, I was going to go to the DEQ and get new tags, go to Costco, Thriftway, and the liquor store for party supplies, bake a cake, do laundry and clean up the house.

Yesterday, I went to Costco, Thriftway, and the liquor store, then went out for sushi with qousqous and clipdude. Then, in my infinite wisdom, I mentioned going to the arcade. So, for the second time this week, we went to Electric Castle Wunderland and spent about $5 each playing DDR, Skee-ball, and assorted arcade games. I got myself a stuffed bear out of one of those claw machines. It's blue. I kind of wanted a purple one to go with it, but none of them were sticking up quite right to be worth trying for. I used to spend hours playing those machines when I was a kid. I probably have a box or two of toys from them somewhere at my mom's house. I like the bear, though. He's cute. There were too many kids at the arcade to get to play much DDR, though. We're going to come back in the middle of the day when they're in school next time.

Then we hung out at qousqous's house and watched flash movies on his TV. After that, I invited them over since I had to get rid of the rest of the angel food cake before I could bake the chocolate one anyway. I put my laundry in and we ate cake and ice cream, drank beer, and watched old episodes of the X-Files for a few hours until it was Time For Them To Go Home. Then I stayed up until my laundry was done and went to bed.

I slept until a bit after noon today. Today, I've done some dishes but otherwise have avoided anything productive. I have to bake a cake, clean house, and decorate in about 2 1/2 hours, because I have to go pick up diantha at the Hillsboro airport at 1700. (She has a friend with a small plane who is flying her up for my party.) Of course, I'm not dressed yet, nor have I eaten lunch. I have such a good start going.
